John Haywood has published a new waterfall guide for the Adirondacks that is a compilation of shorter and easier-to-get-to waterfalls; Family-Friendly Waterfall Hikes in the Adirondacks!

A variety of short walks and roadside waterfalls that are sure to become a family favorite as many fans of Dig The Falls have asked about just that. Now, they’re all available in one, no-frills guide, with not only easy-to-read directions, but access to an interactive map for directions as well! All you have to do is scan the code, save the directions to your destination(s) of choice, and hit the road!

There are hundreds of waterfalls spread out across the over six-million acres of the Adirondacks. The majority of these waterfalls lie miles from a trailhead, or require traversing difficult terrain, making it difficult for the average person, or families, to make the hike to see them. In this guide, you’ll find a compilation of some of the easier-to-get-to waterfalls from across the Adirondack Park.

From roadside wonders like Rainbow Falls at Ausable Chasm in Essex County, to the series of short hikes along Tooley Pond Road in St. Lawrence County, this guide will offer plenty of options to plan a fun day of waterfall-chasing!
