Direction like North and South

Today is a tough day for us here at home. I am feeling there is no direction, and we are just going around in circles. This led me to thinking of waterfalls with a “Direction“.
So technically we are located in Central New York, and the waterfall locations that have the “Word” North in them are are actually East of us. And the waterfall locations that have the word “South” in them are actually like Southeast or Southwest.
